Paul is highly experienced in commercial/corporate law and commercial and tax litigation.  He quickly identifies and deals with the core issues of a legal problem.  He is also a mediator (accreditation in progress).

Paul has an impressive track record in concluding transactions and in resolving disputes, resulting in a legacy of many satisfied clients.

Paul applies his experience gained in acting on both the front and back ends of commercial law issues, ie both as transactor and as a litigator, to a “whole of picture” approach that produces results.  He can approach legal issues from a number of angles, often formulating original solutions that maintain a solid grounding in commercial practicality.  He is up front in advising clients when he considers a particular legal course of action to be uncommercial / unwise.

Paul has particular expertise in complex tax disputes, acquisitions, corporate compliance and restructuring, environmental (including waste) law, intellectual property commercialisation, large scale property developments, building, construction & town planning disputes and foreign investment and Takeovers Panel matters.

Paul has strong working relationships with experienced barristers and consultants in Perth and interstate.  He has been a pro bono legal services provider to The Fiona Wood Foundation for many years (having been a longstanding Board member).
